I officially began planning weddings and events when my oldest daughter got engaged in 2005. I have designed, executed, and coordinated events from sweet and cozy engagement parties to elegant, intimate weddings.
Currently I live in the Richmond, Virginia area with my husband and fur babies (2 cats), with my grown children living close by. My daughter, Katlyn, serves as my technical and creative assistant throughout the planning process. Her husband has made handcrafted wooden furniture pieces, at my request, to fill the needs of brides looking for a little something different. I also have two other children and their spouses who quite often work day of set up/breakdown, making this truly a family business I am so proud of and grateful for.
When I'm not helping my clients design and plan beautifully executed weddings, I surround myself with family. You can often find me in my kitchen baking. I also enjoy crafting, puzzling, and of course shopping. I always have an eye out for the next great piece to add to my inventory.

A Perfect Planner

My wedding day was absolutely perfect! Not all brides can say that as inevitably something just doesn't go as planned, but I am one of the lucky ones. I feel certain a big part of the reason I can say that is because my wedding planner was Deb Wadsworth from Simply Something Sweet.
Deb is professional and personable. She is very knowledgeable about all things having to do with weddings, which is a good thing because I was not. Deb has a knack for knowing what you want even when you don't. When I was unsure of something or knew what I wanted in my head but couldn't really explain it, she was always able to figure it out and absolutely nailed it every time! I was completely in awe when I waked into my venue to see all of the details of my vision pulled together. It was amazing to see and beyond what I had hoped for.
My wedding day went off without any glitches because Deb coordinated every last detail perfectly. I didn't have a thing to worry about except enjoying my special day. I can't say enough about how pleased I am with my decision to use Simply Something Sweet for my wedding planning. I highly recommend this business.
